THE ORP (Oxidoreduction Potential), also known as Redox, is a unit of measurement that determines a substance's ability to reduce oxidation. Thus, the lower the ORP, the greater the reduction potential. It is measured in mV (millivolts).
In other words, negative ORP (ORP -) is a reducing agent or an “antioxidant”. Considering all the harmful effects of oxidation on human health, it is therefore important to drink negatively charged water (alkaline ionized water).

Here is the process used:
- During electrolysis, the ionizer separates the water molecules and retains only the good alkaline minerals, such as calcium or potassium.
- The bad minerals, which are more acidic, such as phosphorus, are filtered out.
- During ionization, acidic water comes out on one side and alkaline water on the other.
- It is possible to adjust the degree of electrolysis (the amount of electricity used) on your ionizer’s screen, according to your preferences.
- You thus regulate the amount of pH (from 8.5 to 10) or ORP (-200 mV to -300 mV) contained in your alkaline ionized water.
